Initially it was a matter of trying to figure out what I did want. One thing was definite, I didn't want to go back to the corporate world. I was becoming quite frustrated, to say the least. Whatever ideas I came up with just didn't seem satisfying.   It's amazing though how things happen when you least expect them.

One Saturday at the training school we took our two girls to (Coco & Jazz) for obedience training (now there's an oxymoron for you, obedience and Wire Haired Fox Terriers), one of the women I had befriended told me that she had been laid off three years prior. While looking for work she started Pet Sitting for some friends and relatives. In a short time the word got out and it became a full time business. She herself couldn't believe it.

I couldn't wait to get home and tell my husband that I had found a business I would like to start. He also thought it was a great idea and couldn't figure out why we hadn't already thought of it.

To make a long story short, it's been over five years now and as I look back I regret that I hadn't done this a long time ago. I've always had a love for animals and, now, I've been able to turn that love into a successful business. In addition, since my husband works at home, he has now also become involved in the business (he tells me that I'm a "tuff boss" to work for - "too many orders"). Well, someone has to give the orders, right!!!
